What is supervised visitation? Is a contract between two parties to have an unbiased third-party responsible for the observation of and safety during the visit.
What is a supervised exchange? Is a contract between two parties to have an unbiased third-party responsible for the monitoring of the exchange of a child. The third-party will ensure the caregivers/parents do not come in contact with each other during the exchange of the child.
Do you need parenting classes? We offer in-person parenting coaching with a staff member who is a certified parent coach. The staff member is a masters level social worker who has attended a parent coaching certification course. The parent coaching is tailored to meet the individual client needs.
What is the process for establishing supervised visitation or supervised exchange? Call 240-910-0977 or email marylandfamilyvisitation@gmail.com to schedule an intake with one of our staff. The fees depend upon the number of children, age of children, location of the visitation, and travel requirements.
Stacy Freeman is the owner of Maryland Family Visitation which provides supervised visitation and monitored exchanges within Frederick Maryland and the surrounding area. Stacy began her career with the federal Bureau of Prisons as a Correctional Officer at the United States Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas. She served in positions of increasing responsibility, including Drug Treatment Specialist at the Federal Correctional Complex in Florence, Colorado, Challenge Treatment Specialist at the United States Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana, Community Treatment Oversight Specialist at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office, and finally as a Senior Equal
Employment Opportunity Specialist at the Bureau of Prisons Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Before joining the federal Bureau of Prisons Stacy served in the United States Army for six years, giving her more than 28 years of combined federal service. Stacy has an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Law Enforcement from Central Texas College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Park University, and a Master of Science degree in Substance Use Counseling
from Coppin State University.
Stacy has extensive experience working with individuals with substance use and mental health disorders through her employment with the federal prison system. Stacy has a variety of experience supervising visits, from working in visiting rooms in federal prisons to supervising and training staff in visiting procedures. Stacy is a former foster parent and is familiar with the challenges the community has in obtaining and maintaining supervised visitation in a demanding environment.
